SCHOOL OWNERSHIP:
The school is a government of Ghana institution for training in Surveying and Mapping at the middle level to cater for the manpower needs of the country in that range of professionals. The sector is non residential and fee paying.
SCHOOL LOCATION:
The school is located in its original site (opposite the 37 military Hospital) and on the same compound with the Greater Accra Regional office of the Survey Department on the 37 Military Hospital - Accra New Town road (Olusegun Obasanjo way)
ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL ACCREDITATION BOARD:
The Ghana School of Surveying and Mapping has been duly accredited by the National Accreditation ‘Board (NAB), to provide a 3 year HND and a 2 - year certificate training in surveying and mapping and is currently the only institution of this status in the country. The training programme have offered very unique opportunity for serving officers in the Land agencies in particular and unskilled youth to upgrade themselves for high productivity in the national development effort on completion of the training at the Ghana School of Surveying and Mapping . The School is affiliated to the National Board for Professional and Technician Examinations (NABPTEX).
RECOGNITION BY THE GHANA INSTITUTION OF SURVEYORS (GhIS)
The school is duly recognized by the Ghana Institution of Surveyors as an institution of training and as such HND students and products are eligible for admission into the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) as Technicians.
